2048 is a sliding puzzle game where you combine numbered tiles to reach the 2048 tile.

The game is played on a 4×4 grid, and every move shifts all tiles in one direction (up, down, left, or right).

When two tiles with the same number collide, they merge into one with double the value.

The goal is to create a tile with the number 2048, but you can keep playing to get even higher scores.

Tips to Win 2048

1. Stick to One Corner

  • Keep your highest-value tile in one corner (usually the bottom-left or bottom-right).
  • Avoid moving in a way that forces your highest tile to move out of the corner.

2. Use Only Two Directions When Possible

  • Try to move only left and down (or left and up) to keep your tiles organized.
  • Avoid moving up unless necessary, as it can break your setup.

3. Build Tiles in a Line

  • Arrange your numbers in descending order in a row or column.
  • Example: 128 → 64 → 32 → 16 in a row keeps things structured.

4. Think Ahead

  • Don’t just swipe randomly. Consider where the new tile will appear after each move.
  • Avoid filling up the grid with small numbers that don’t combine.

5. Prioritize Merging Over Random Moves

  • If you can merge tiles, do it before making unnecessary moves.
  • A filled board with no merges means game over.

6. Don’t Chase Big Tiles

  • Focus on building up smaller tiles naturally rather than trying to force a high-value tile.

7. Manage Empty Spaces

  • Keep at least one or two empty spaces to have room for new tiles.
  • If the board is almost full, prioritize merging to clear space.

8. Stay Calm and Plan

  • Rushing leads to mistakes. Take your time, especially when the board is nearly full.
  • The best moves often come from careful observation.

9. Practice and Improve

  • The more you play, the better you’ll get at spotting patterns and making strategic moves.
